On October 15, 2011, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall hosted the award ceremony House of the Year/Best Building Awards in the framework of Zodchestvo (Architecture) All-Russian Festival. The low-rise village Ecodolie Orenburg won the Best Suburban Development award.

Mr Konstantin Filippishin, Director of the Ecodolie Group, received the main award House of the Year. In addition to the prestigious award, Mr Ivan Grachev, President of the International Academy of Mortgage and Real Estate, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Russian State Duma, deputy of the Russian State Duma, awarded Mr Filippishin with an academician diploma of the Academy. In his opening speech Mr Grachev said that as an author of the Law On Mortgage, he was glad to see the practical implementation of his legislative efforts. The Ecodolie Group was the first in Russia to develop and use new mortgage products in cooperation with the Housing Mortgage Lending Agency and Sberbank of Russia that allowed granting loans to buyers of low-rise homes with land at the stage of construction. Such mortgage loans currently account for up to 60% of sales which is a record-breaking indicator for Russia.

The House of the Year is awarded annually to best projects of Russian architecture designed by professional architects and built by developers and builders in the past year. The House of the Year/Best Building Awards is the first and only project in Russia where the winner is selected by online national voting open to general public. The award takes into consideration artistic merits of a project as well as the quality of its implementation. The award is given to architects as well as developers and construction companies that brought the project to life. The award was started in 2005 under the motto Made in FUTURE which illustrates its concept of promoting advanced construction technologies and innovative design solutions.
