Ecodolie Group of Companies Joined the All-Russian Saturday Cleanup Day!

On August 31, 2013 Ecodolie Group of Companies’ projects in Orenburg, Obninsk, Samara and Yekaterinburg took part in the All-Russian ‘Green Russia’ Environmental Saturday Cleanup Day. This large-scale event arranged as part of the Year of Environmental Protection in Russia united thousands of people who care about the environment in our country. Eco events in support of the Saturday cleanup day took place throughout Russia. Both residents of Ecodolie settlements and the Company’s employees and partners participated in the All-Russian Saturday Cleanup Day.

In Yekaterinburg

The Company’s staff in Yekaterinburg not only arranged the Saturday cleanup day in the future settlement territory, but also joined the All-Russian campaign in the city – cleaned up garbage and hung birds feeders in Stone Tents park. The participants of the Saturday cleanup day at this platform were joined by Evgeny Vladimirovich Kuyvashev, Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, and Anatoly Evgenyevich Karpov, world chess champion, who not only actively cleaned up garbage together with all people, but also hung up bird feeders in the park on behalf of Ecodolie. In total there were 100 people cleaning up garbage in Stone Tents park, many of them received Ecodolie badges and flags to reward their remarkable team work.

In Obninsk

Despite the rainy weather, the All-Russian Saturday Cleanup Day gathered in Ecodolie Belkino’s central park a lot of residents and the Company’s employees. The eco-program was rich – cleanup of the settlement’s territory, performance of the Children's Environmental Hobby Group working in the settlement since May 2013, an exhibition of children's eco-drawings and an eco-quiz with presents from VELUX and Ecodolie Obninsk. It was impossible to do without planting of flowers - the settlement’s park is now decorated with five flower beds of exclusive design.

In Orenburg

The Saturday Cleanup Day in Ekodolie Orenburg residential complex was devoted to the settlement gardening. As a result, the residential complex’s territory was not only cleaned up by volunteers, but was also enriched with new tree plantings. About 150 trees, Lombardy poplars, ash trees, mountain ashes and wonderfully bright flower beds became a worthy ornament of the settlement.

In Samara

The weather in Samara pleased Ecodolie residents, who decided to arrange the Saturday cleanup day the day before the All-Russian event – on August 30. Besides the Company’s staff the campaign was joined by the company’s partner – Crocus LD Union of Landscapers – and Olga Kuranda, Coordinator of the All-Russian Saturday Cleanup Day in Samara, Member of Russian Green League Public Organization. The Saturday Cleanup Day participants cleaned up the future settlement’s territory, planted year-round plants - Japanese spiraeas and thujas, birches, lindens and fir-trees. The day before the event Irina Zuyeva, Head of Sales and Marketing of Ecodolie Samara, participated in City C live program on GIS TV-channel devoted to the All-Russian Environmental Campaign.

Heart-shaped flower beds – Ecodolie’s symbol – became the bright uniting finale in all projects of Ecodolie Group of Companies.
