Official Opening Ceremony of Ecodolie Development Second Stage
On October 6, 2011, the second stage of Ecodolie Orenburg development of the new generation was officially opened. The construction and installation of all utilities have been completed, and houses of the second stage are entirely ready for new residents.
The opening ceremony at Ecodolie Orenburg was attended by Yury Berg, Governor of the Orenburg Region, Alexey Leonov, member of Baring Vostok Capital Partners consulting committee, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, cosmonaut and pilot, member of the supreme political board of UNITED RUSSIA, Konstantin Filippishin, General Director of the Ecodolie Management Company, Yelena Nikolayeva, President of the National Agency for Low-Rise and Cottage Development (NAMIKS), Plamen Grozdanov, Ambassador of Bulgaria in the Russian Federation, and many others.
The opening of the second stage was marked by the commissioning of 50 new move-in ready homes. All utility lines including gas, water and electricity have been installed to make the life of new residents of suburban homes comfortable. The Ecodolie Orenburg housing development currently has 240 homes including two dozen homes with new residents and seventy homes where finishing work is under way which will be move-in ready in the near future. The Company plans to build over four thousand homes for over fifteen thousand future residents by 2016.
Another gift to current and future residents of Ecodolie Orenburg was the laying of the first stone in the foundation of the first of four planned kindergartens. The first stone was laid by Yury Berg, Governor of the Orenburg Region, and Alexey Leonov, member of the Consulting Committee of Baring Vostok Capital Partners.
“It gives me great joy to see our project come to life, to see our dream of beautiful, comfortable and affordable suburban housing turn to reality”, said Mr Leonov at the opening ceremony. “It is hard to imagine today that just two a half years ago it was just a bare steppe. We keep our promises. Now there are people living in here. House lights are on at night and streets are lit up. I have no doubt that we will soon hear children’s laughter in the newly built kindergarten!”
The kindergarten construction is a socially significant event with special importance to residents with small children. Ecodolie now has 74 preschool children and their parents are looking forward to the day when the new kindergarten intended for 140 children will first open its doors. The kindergarten construction will be funded from the regional budget as promised by Yury Berg at the opening of the first stage of Ecodolie Orenburg.
“Now it is just one brick but it will soon turn into a new modern kindergarten”, says a new resident of Ecodolie. “This is a huge event for me as I have two small children. They will soon also build a school!”.
The celebration in Ecodolie brought together current and future residents, adults and children. The event was accompanied by music and performances by dance and vocal groups of the Orenburg Region. All guests could partake in a lottery with valuable prizes and taste traditional Russian dishes while children were entertained with amusing contests. Potential buyers in Ecodolie Orenburg could personally see that the development is growing, developing and bursting with life.
Another important event of the day in Ecodolie Orenburg was the opening of the Interregional Meeting in Energy Efficiency in which the Ecodolie Group was actively involved. The management and staff of the company shared their experience of using energy efficient technologies in low-rise housing. Guests visited a unique energy efficient building with 12 apartments based on latest energy saving technologies.
“According to approximate estimates, residents of such buildings will save up to 40% on utility payments”, says Mr Konstantin Filippishin, General Director of the Ecodolie Management Company. “There are 16 of such homes in Russia, and ours is one of the first. It is fully ready to be commissioned and people will soon move in”.
